The Installation Faults Pracbox is compact, portable training and assessment equipment for electrical installation testing and fault-finding. Designed and manufactured in Australia, it’s used by electrical contractors to keep their teams current with the mandatory testing and safe isolation.

Key Features

Safety features

The Installation Faults (IF) Pracbox has been designed with safety as a priority. An integrated 24V AC Extra Low Voltage (ELV) power supply allows electrical contractors and apprentices to practise safe isolation procedures in a controlled environment. The unique Mode Selection system separates Fault Mode from Isolation Mode, preventing power from being applied while faults are active.

Compliance

The IF Pracbox supports the development of essential skills required for industry-standard mandatory testing and safe isolation procedures. With 31 fault sets of varying complexity, users can gain practical experience identifying and rectifying installation faults while following correct testing processes. This hands-on approach helps reinforce safe work practices and compliance with current electrical industry training requirements.

Ease of use

Designed for electrical contractors and apprentices, the IF Pracbox is simple to operate and highly portable. Faults are selected using easy-to-use onboard switches, with the active fault set clearly displayed on the integrated screen. No external software or devices are required, allowing quick setup and immediate use. Compact and lightweight, it can be easily transported between classrooms, workshops and job sites.
